Alexander Nikolaevich Yakovlev (* December 2, 1923 in Korolevo; † October 18, 2005 in Moscow) was a soviet diplomat. He was 81 years old. His education included Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University, Higher Party School at the Central Committee of the CPSU, Academy of Social Sciences of the Central Committee of CPSU and Columbia University. His awards include Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class and Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh 3rd class. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
