Alexey Maresyev (* May 7, 1916 in Kamyshin; † May 18, 2001 in Moscow) was a soviet aviator. He was 85 years old. He studied at Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots named after Hero of the Soviet Union A.K. Serov. He was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 3rd class. His cause of death was infarction. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
