Alfred Worden (* February 7, 1932 in Jackson; † March 18, 2020 in Sugar Land) was an american astronaut. He was 88 years old. His education included University of Michigan, U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, United States Military Academy and Jackson High School. His awards include United Nations Peace Medal, United States Astronaut Hall of Fame and International Space Hall of Fame. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
