Biography
Anna Politkovskaya (* August 30, 1958 in New York City; † October 7, 2006 in Moscow) was a russian journalist. She was 48 years old. She was married to Aleksandr Politkovsky. She studied at MSU Faculty of Journalism. She received 10 awards, including Geschwister-Scholl-Preis, Hermann Kesten Prize. Her cause of death was gunshot wound. She was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
