Carlos Monsiváis (* May 5, 1939 in Mexico City; † June 19, 2010 in Mexico City) was a mexican writer. He was 71 years old. His education included Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UNAM and Harvard University. He received 7 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Xavier Villaurrutia Award. His cause of death was respiratory failure.
