Diana Wynne Jones (* August 16, 1934 in London; † March 26, 2011 in Bristol) was an english children's fantasy writer. She was 76 years old. She was married to J. A. Burrow. Her education included St Anne's College, Friends School Saffron Walden and Simmons College Center for the Study of Children's Literature. She received 6 awards, including Zilveren Griffel, Guardian Children's Fiction Prize. Her cause of death was lung cancer.
