Dmitry Yazov (* November 8, 1924 in Yazovo; † February 25, 2020 in Moscow) was a soviet minister of defence. He was 95 years old. His education included Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Moscow Higher Military Command School and M.V. Frunze Military Academy. He was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 4th class. He was buried at Federal Military Memorial Cemetery.
