Gennadi Sarafanov (* January 1, 1942 in Sinenkie; † September 29, 2005 in Leonikha) was a soviet cosmonaut. He was 63 years old. His education included Balashov Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots and Gagarin Air Force Academy. He received a total of 16 awards.
