Biography
Humberto Maturana (* September 14, 1928 in Santiago; † May 6, 2021 in Santiago) was a chilean biologist and philosopher. He was 92 years old. His education included University College London, Harvard University and Liceo Manuel de Salas. His awards include Guggenheim Fellowship, National Prize for Sciences (Chile) and honorary doctorate of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His cause of death was pneumonia.
