Evgeniy Vasilievich Khrunov (* September 10, 1933 in Prudy; † May 19, 2000 in Moscow) was a soviet cosmonaut. He was 66 years old. His education included Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots named after Hero of the Soviet Union A.K. Serov, Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy and V. I. Lenin Military-Political Academy. He received a total of 21 awards. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Ostankino Cemetery.
