Biography
Marshall Warren Nirenberg (* April 10, 1927 in Brooklyn; † January 15, 2010 in New York City) was an american biochemist and geneticist. He was 82 years old. He was married to Myrna M. Weissman and Perola Zaltzman. His education included University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and University of Florida. He received 10 awards, including Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research, Franklin Medal. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Sharon Gardens Cemetery.
