Mauro Bolognini (* June 28, 1922 in Pistoia; † May 14, 2001 in Rome) was an italian film director. He was 78 years old. He studied at University of Florence. He was awarded the David di Donatello Award for Lifetime Achievement. His cause of death was amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
