Biography
Mikhail Botvinnik (* August 17, 1911 in Repino; † May 5, 1995 in Moscow) was a soviet chess player. He was 83 years old. He was married to Gayane Davidovna Ananova. He studied at Peter the Great Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University. His faith was atheism. He was awarded the world chess champion. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
