Biography
Nikolay Basov (* December 14, 1922 in Usman; † July 1, 2001 in Moscow) was a soviet physicist. He was 78 years old. He was married to Ksenia Tikhonovna Basova. He studied at National Research Nuclear University. He received 4 awards, including Nobel Prize in Physics, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
