Biography
Norman Joseph Woodland (* September 6, 1921 in Atlantic City; † December 9, 2012 in Edgewater) was an inventor of the barcode. He was 91 years old. His education included Drexel University and Atlantic City High School. His awards include National Medal of Technology and Innovation and National Inventors Hall of Fame. He was buried at Rodef Sholom Cemetery.
