Biography
Sabiha Gökçen (* March 22, 1913 in Bursa; † March 22, 2001 in Ankara) was a first Turkish female combat pilot. She was 88 years old. She studied at Üsküdar American Academy. She was awarded the FAI Gold Air Medal. She was buried at Military Cemetery of Cebeci.
