Biography
Stanislav Markelov (* May 20, 1974 in Moscow; † January 19, 2009 in Moscow) was a russian lawyer. He was 34 years old. He studied at Moscow State Law University. His awards include CCBE Human Rights award and Medal "For Merit to the Chechen Republic". His cause of death was gunshot wound. He was buried at Ostankino Cemetery.
