Biography
Vaughan Jones (* December 31, 1952 in Gisborne; † September 6, 2020 in Nashville) was a new Zealand mathematician and Fields Medalist. He was 67 years old. He was married to Martha Jones. His education included University of Geneva, Auckland Grammar School, University of Auckland and St Peter's School. He received 10 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Fields medal. His cause of death was infection.
