Vladimir Arnold (* June 12, 1937 in Odesa; † June 3, 2010 in Paris) was a russian mathematician who studied integrable systems and differential equations. He was 72 years old. His education included MSU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and Lomonosov Moscow State University. He received 9 awards, including doctor honoris causa from the Pierre and Marie Curie University, Crafoord Prize. His cause of death was peritonitis. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
